Example Types of Data Loss
There are many forms of data loss that may require professional help.
File Deletion
The simplest form of data loss is the unintentional deletion of important files. When you put something in the Recycling Bin and empty the bin, the file is not truely deleted. The disk sectors that contain the data are merely marked as availble to be overwritten. It is very likely that the information is recoverable.
Reformat
Even after a complete reformat of the hard disk, and yet even still with a new Windows install after the reformat, it is still possible to recover data that may have been forgotten to have been backup up.
Non-bootable Hard Disk
Lost data is just as recoverable regardless of whether the hard disk properly can boot into Windows or not. For example, if you have a STOP error that dissallows you from booting into Windows and you deem it's time to just purchase a new computer, we can easily back up your existing data for you.
Corrupted File System
It is most difficult to recover data from a corrupted file system and it may require some hex editing. Even so, it is possible and if the data is important enough then no measure to recover the data is too small.
What to do about problems like these?
If you are serious about recovering your data, the most IMPORTANT step is to stop using the computer. Turn it off and do not use it until your data is recovered. The reason for this is when new data is written over your wanted lost data, it becomes exponentially harder to recover the data. Contact us ASAP; though it can take quite some time to recover the data we'll get it back to you as soon as possible so you can use your PC again.
